Ambipar Response is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our onsite operations team in Oklahoma. The driver will transport equipment, vacuum tankers, and waste materials in a safe, compliant manner and assist crew as needed.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, route coordination, and proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials while maintaining a strong safety record and compatibility with emergency response work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, roll-off boxes, vacuum tankers, and waste materials. This role requires a strong work ethic, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

Position Details

Reports to: Base Operations Coordinator Location: Onsite Position Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Pay: Hourly Travel: Up to 40% Essential Job Functions Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck or straight truck in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies. Utilize vacuum trucks to extract, contain, and transport liquid, sludge, and solid waste safely, ensuring proper suction pressure, hose management, and containment procedures to prevent spills and environmental hazards. Load, secure, transport, and unload roll-off containers efficiently while complying with weight restrictions, site-specific protocols, and DOT regulations. Ensure all waste materials, including hazardous and non-hazardous substances, are handled, transported, and disposed of in accordance with federal, state, and company guidelines. Accurately and efficiently utilize electronic logging devices (eLogs) to track hours of service and compliance. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition. Promptly report any issues, mechanical failures, or incidents to dispatch to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Securely load and unload cargo at designated pickup and delivery locations, potentially using liftgates or pallet jacks when necessary. Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules, utilizing GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries. Operate and maintain vacuum trucks for the safe and efficient transportation of liquids, sludge, and other materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Assist crew members when needed, fostering teamwork and a collaborative work environment. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Highschool Diploma of equivalent (GED)
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and Drivers License required with no restrictions and an acceptable driving record
  • Strong understanding of road rules and regulations and vehicle maintenance and safety regulations
  • Ability to pass a DOT and Hazmat physical examination
  • Previous experience in truck driving, equipment transportation, or related field
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to safety
  • Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations
  • Physical stamina and capability to perform labor-intensive tasks
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Ability to work autonomously on projects without direct supervision
  • Ability interpret and follow written and verbal instructions and assignments
  • Experience working outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Detail orientated with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities when interacting with customers, regulators, direct reports, and managers

Preferred Job Requirements
  • Ability to drive a manual vehicle
  • Experience operating roll-off boxes
  • Hazmat endorsement
  • Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred
Work Schedule/Work Environment

The standard working hours are 7 AM - 4 PM. This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, including extended hours, overtime, various shifts including nights and weekends and holidays when necessary. This position may require extended periods of travel and working in inclement weather. Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8-12 hour shifts. Must be able to sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, reach, crawl, and kneel. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 feet. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks (loading and unloading materials as needed in excess of 100lbs). Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders. Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights. Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sounds by ear. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Jobs are frequently completed outside and if needed, in inclement weather conditions. Perform work in confined spaces, heights, and/or in water. Ability to wear APR’s SCBA’s, supplied air, and various levels of protective suits, and Personal Projective Equipment as required in accordance with company standards and procedures. May be exposed to non-hazardous and hazardous material. Some aspects of the clean-up work may generate a significant amount of static electricity. Work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Work Environment This candidate may be exposed to hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Aspects of the position may generate significant amounts of static electricity while performing clean-up work. Candidates are expected to perform work duties in all weather conditions.
