CPC Logistics, Inc. in Mt Vernon IL is seeking Class A CDL Extra Board Truck Drivers to support Walgreens private fleet. Extra Board positions include peddle, relay, and team runs with varied schedules and home time.

Peddle routes deliver to Walgreens stores via a roller system; relays are regional, no-touch freight with daily home time; teams may be used for heavy loads. Hotels provided for layovers on relay runs.

Qualifications

• Valid and current Class A CDL.
• CDL Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience OR 6 months of experience AND a certificate from an accredited CDL School.
• Must be willing and able to unload tailgated freight by conveyor rollers.
• Ability to meet all DOT requirements.
• Ability to push, pull, or carry freight weighing up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate peddle routes delivering to Walgreens stores in Mt Vernon IL and surrounding areas.
• Operate relay routes including regional runs, drop and hook, no touch freight.
• Drive team routes as needed; hotels provided for layovers on relay runs.
• Maintain safety standards and DOT compliance while on duty.

CPC Logistics is currently hiring Class A CDL Extra Board Truck Drivers in Mt Vernon IL for the Walgreens private fleet. Extra Board positions consisting of peddle, relay, and team runs are available.

Peddle routes consist of making tailgate deliveries via a roller system to Walgreens stores in Mt Vernon IL and the surrounding areas. The schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday with early morning start times (12am-6am) and 95% of the runs are home every day with an occasional layover.

Relay routes consist of running regional routes, drop and hook, no touch freight. The schedule is Monday thru Friday with start times that vary from early afternoon to late evening and home every day.

Drivers must be willing and able to do Peddle, Relay, and Team routes as needed. Hotels provided for layovers for relay runs. No Sleeper Bunk (except for team runs)!
