Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America seeks a professional driver to operate straight trucks, tractor-trailers, or doubles in the Dallas area. Deliver products to customers, follow routes, maintain safety, and provide excellent service while communicating with dispatch and customers.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, 2+ years of tractor-trailer or straight truck experience, DOT/MVR compliance, and ability to load/unload and complete daily logs.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL; some routes may require a doubles endorsement.
• 2+ years of tractor-trailer/straight truck/doubles experience within the last 5 years.
• Meet DOT requirements and DFA Motor Vehicle Records checks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies.
• Deliver products according to route schedule and customer expectations, including inbounds to coolers/walk-ins.
• Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions or breakdowns.
• Load and unload as required; stock or order product per route needs.
• Maintain good relations with customers and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep vehicle clean.
• Complete daily paperwork and logs per policy and DOT guidelines.
• Attend driver workshops and training sessions; use company systems correctly.
