Job summary

Veritiv in Texas is seeking a CDL Truck Driver to transport products by tractor-trailer or van to customers, completing 15-20 stops daily.

You will maintain cargo security, logs, inspect equipment, and coordinate with dispatch for pickup and delivery instructions. Safety is the top priority.

Responsibilities include handling receipts, payments when required, verifying quantities, and operating truck-mounted equipment while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must observe all Department of Transportation and driving regulations resulting in a safe driving record and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Position requires a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Forklift certified preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailer truck or vans to transport, pick up and deliver products with 15-20 stops daily.
• Maintain cargo security to prevent shifting and damage; safety is priority.
• Maintain truck log per state and federal regulations.
• Inspect truck equipment and tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
• Coordinate with supervisor/dispatch for pickup/delivery instructions.
• Prepare receipts and collect payment for goods delivered when required.
• Verify delivered goods and quantities for accuracy.
• Operate hydraulics and hoists on trucks as needed.
• Move materials between receiving/production areas using designated machinery.
• Sort/place materials on racks per predetermined sequence.
