Job summary

Bengal Crane & Rigging in Geismar, LA is seeking Class A CDL Drivers with flatbed experience for full-time positions. You will operate heavy-spec trucks, secure loads, and coordinate with dispatch to meet safety and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with flatbed experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Acceptable MVR and driving record.
• 5+ years of heavy haul or flatbed experience preferred.
• TWIC Card or ability to obtain per site.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safe load securement.
• Ability to pass road test, background check, drug screen.
• Experience in industrial/construction environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-spec trucks, multi-axle combinations, flatbeds, step decks, and specialized trailers.
• Transport equipment, materials, crane components, and project freight to Bengal locations, customer sites, industrial facilities, and job sites.
• Load, unload, inspect, and properly secure freight before transport.
• Verify bills of lading, delivery paperwork, load details, and required documentation before leaving yard or job site.
• Understand axle weight distribution and work with dispatch to adjust loads as needed.
• Follow permitted route instructions, DOT requirements, customer site rules, and company safety procedures.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects, repairs, or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs, receipts, fuel card records, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation.
• Assist team members with loading and unloading cranes, components, equipment, and materials when needed.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervision, customers, and other employees.
• Participate in company safety programs, meetings, training, and job-site safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
