Job summary

Pet Food Experts, LLC is seeking drivers for regional routes delivering pet food and supplies to independent retailers. Expect a pay of $29.00/hr with overtime after 40 hours, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Home each week with no scheduled weekends, plus medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Routes cover Ohio and surrounding states with typical days from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM, about 10–13 hours, 400 miles per route, and 15–25 stops depending on day or overnight routes.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• 1+ year of CDL driving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and repeatedly get in/out of the truck.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Pass a physical, drug test, background check, and MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor-trailer on assigned regional routes.
• Deliver pet food and supplies to independent pet retailers.
• Unload product using pallet jacks and hand jacks.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Provide dependable, professional customer service.

The Equipment

• Freightliner Cascadia and M2
• Automatic transmission
• Day cab
• Liftgates and select reefer units

The Route

• Delivery area includes Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York
• Approximately 400 miles per route
• Average 15 stops on day routes and 25 stops on overnight routes
• Start times generally range from 5:00 AM–7:00 AM
• 1–2 overnight routes per week
• Typical workday: 10–13 hours
• Mix of city and interstate driving

The Job

This is a hands-on delivery position. Drivers should be comfortable unloading product, getting in and out of the truck throughout the day, and working independently.
