Job summary

QXO is seeking a qualified truck driver to join our team in Worcester, MA. The role involves touch-freight handling, loading and unloading, and ensuring safe site operations in all weather conditions.

You will pre-inspect and prepare loads, communicate with dispatch, and adhere to DOT safety procedures while delivering materials to customers. A valid CDL A and at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL Class A license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
