Job Brief
Operate all types of Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to prepare and deliver any company explosive products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Operate Dyno Nobel Americas (DNA) trucks and specialty equipment to prepare and deliver explosive products to customers safely.
- Drive and operate straight bed vehicles over public roads to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites.
- Complete inventory records, documentation, and reports.
- Drive and operate bulk/blend trucks to prepare and deliver quality ANFO products.
- Operate and perform maintenance on straight, ANFO, and dewatering trucks (or less), deliver and offload product within DN H&S Management System practices.
- Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density.
- Load and unload all trucks, maintain magazines, sites, and inventories.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving and operating equipment, and while on blast sites to protect personal safety and safety of others.
- Prepare and maintain all records concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products, safety, and use and detonation of explosives to assure accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and performance history.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- CDL Class A or B.
- Hazmat endorsement (or ability to obtain).
- 36+ months of related experience preferred.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance on heavy motor vehicles, including TTT and SMS trucks, and perform gassing operations within H&S Management System procedures.
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check to be a possessor of explosives.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, and communicate in writing and verbally.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
