Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer and deliver customer orders to scheduled locations. You will ensure accurate, timely deliveries, provide professional customer service, and return the empty trailer to the distribution center.

This role may include backhaul pickups as assigned, with a schedule that returns home daily. Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL with endorsements, 1+ year of commercial driving experience (food delivery preferred),

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with endorsements and DOT qualification.
• 1+ year of commercial driving experience preferred, preferably food delivery.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer and make scheduled customer deliveries.
• Complete pre-trip inspections, route review, temperature checks, and required documentation.
• Assess customer sites for hazards and follow safe delivery procedures.
• Verify orders, obtain customer signatures, and provide professional customer service.
• Complete backhauls as assigned.
• Perform post-trip inspections, fueling, trailer securement, DVIRs, and required logs.
• Attend required meetings and complete company training and assessments.
• Follow all applicable regulations and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
