Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for our San Leandro, CA team. You will transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with regulations.

This safety-first role requires operating commercial vehicles, performing inspections, maintaining digital logs, and coordinating with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication and ability to work independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with safe driving record.

• Able to lift 60 pounds and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Willing to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tractor trailers, tankers, roll-offs, and box trucks, in compliance with regulations.
• Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team (optional).
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following DOT regulations.
• Complete all required manifest paperwork and documentation accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials as needed.
• Properly secure load to ensure safe transport of materials.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain knowledge.

Job description

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for our San Leandro, CA team. You will safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials to various locations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

This highly motivated & safety-first individual will be responsible for operating Class A commercial vehicles, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate digital logs, and adhering to safety policies and procedures.

This position reports to the Transportation Manager.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including but not limited to tractor trailers, tankers, roll-offs, and box trucks, in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
  
• Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following all applicable DOT regulations.
  
• Complete all required manifest paperwork and documentation accurately
  
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
  
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials as needed.
  
• Properly secure load to ensure safe & compliant transportation of materials
  
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain industry knowledge and skills.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
• Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
• The Driver position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for taking on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

• Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is required
• Previous experience in environmental services or related field
