Job summary

Norfolk Iron & Metal Company is seeking a driven truck driver to operate our tractor-trailer fleet in Ogden, UT, with responsibilities across multiple facilities in the region. The role may involve overnight routes as needed.

Out of Ogden, this position requires a valid Class A CDL with a current medical card and strict adherence to safety guidelines. You will load/unload, inspect vehicles, and provide excellent customer service to clients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with current medical card.
• Ability to follow all safety guidelines.
• Physical ability to meet job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer fleet safely.
• Distribute product as dispatched in an efficient manner.
• Perform pre- and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Complete DVIRs for trips.
• Assist in loading and unloading steel and other supplies.
• Provide professional customer service.

Employment will be based out of Ogden, UT. Position will support the Ogden, UT, Caldwell, ID and Henderson, NV facilities, depending on business needs. Some routes could potentially be overnight.

Job Description

• Safe operation of the company’s tractor/trailer fleet
• Distribute product as dispatched in the most efficient manner
• Perform the required DOT pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections
• Complete DVIR for pre and post trips and driving
• Assist in loading and unloading of steel and other supplies
• Provide customer service in a professional manner
