Job summary

J-Tech is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team in the United States. The role focuses on safe, efficient long-haul transport of cargo while upholding all size, weight, and break regulations.

You will receive, document, and track deliveries, manage loading/unloading at docks, and ensure logs, bills of lading, and manifests are accurate. A clean driving record and compliance with DOT rules are required.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of how to use a car trailer, low boy and landoll.
• Must possess medical DOT card.
• Should be familiar with E-Logging.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
• Check vehicles for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
• Inspect loads to ensure cargo is secure.
• Maintain logs of hours and vehicle status per regulations.
• Maneuver trucks to loading/unloading positions with crew signals.
• Report defects, accidents, or damage to vehicles.
• Obtain receipts or signatures and collect payment when required.

Summary:

The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving a large commercial vehicle long distances for extended hours to deliver cargo . All safety regulations and standards regarding size, weight, and break periods must be followed. The Truck Driver will also be responsible for receiving cargo, parking in appropriate docks , tracking mileage, and documenting schedules, inventory delivery confirmation, and manifests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
• Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
• Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
• Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations.
• Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
• Ability to drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
• Must be able to provide proof of clean driving record.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
