Job summary

Univar Solutions in Missouri is seeking a Delivery Specialist to load/unload and deliver Mini Bulk and Bulk chemicals in a safe, efficient manner, reporting to the Operations Supervisor. You will follow company policies, wear PPE, complete time sheets, and uphold safety, service, and profitability goals.

Qualifications

• Class A driving experience on a full-time basis in liquid transport.
• Minimum of 5 years of Class A driving experience in liquid transport and 25 years old.
• Hazardous materials and tanker endorsements as required by law.
• Experience handling corrosive chemicals.
• Agree to training for chemical handling and safety (OSHA Hazmat).
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload and deliver Mini Bulk and Bulk chemicals safely and efficiently as dispatched, reporting to the Operations Supervisor.
• Follow all company policies and procedures as detailed in Employee Handbook, Safety Manual and Operations Manual.
• Maintain safety, service, and profitability goals; complete time sheets accurately and on time.
• Wear uniform daily and maintain professional appearance; wear all required PPE including respirator when required.
• Ensure paperwork complies with Company and DOT policies and regulations; fill out delivery reports and submit promptly.
• Perform minor maintenance on trailer and process equipment; deliver chemicals promptly and courteously; report spills immediately.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Delivery Specialist is responsible for loading/unloading and delivering Mini Bulk and Bulk chemicals as dispatched in the safest and most efficient manner. Delivery Specialist will report to the Operations Supervisor.
• Reading and being familiar with all Company policies and procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook
• Safety Manual and Operations Manual. -Taking pride in our Company and doing everything possible to help maintain our goals in Safety, Service, and Profitability.
• Reporting and designated to work on time, and accurately completing time sheets.
• Wearing uniform daily, maintaining clean and professional appearance of yourself as well as assigned tractor and trailer.
• Wearing all required safety gear and personal protective equipment, including full face respirator when required, during all handling of chemicals.
• Driving in a safe and responsible manner and following all DOT rules and regulations while making chemical deliveries.
• Loading trucks with proper materials (and concentrations) to be delivered as dispatched, ensuring all paperwork complies with Company and DOT policies and regulations.
• Fill out delivery report documents accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
• Perform minor and routine maintenance on trailer, process equipment, customer tanks and vent traps
• Safely delivering chemicals as dispatched to our customers promptly and in a courteous fashion.
• Reporting all spills immediately to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Class A equivalent driving experience on a full-time work basis in liquid transport.
• Minimum of (5) years of Class A equivalent driving experience on a full-time work basis in liquid transport and 25 years old.
• Have previous experience hauling tankers of hazardous chemicals a must and hold current hazardous material and tanker endorsements as required by law.
• Demonstrate the ability to work with corrosive chemicals.
• Agree to fully cooperate with the training program for chemical handling and safety.
• Agree to train to the OSHA Hazmat Emergency Responder Technician certification level and maintain annual certification.
• Take a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
