Job summary

ABC Supply Interiors in Mobile, AL is seeking a licensed CDL driver for local delivery of drywall, ceiling tiles and related building materials. You will operate a delivery vehicle, unload and stock materials on jobsites, and help ensure safe loading, accurate orders, and on-time service.

This role emphasizes safety, adherence to traffic and weight limits, and teamwork with warehouse staff. Flatbed, boom, crane experience is preferred; company benefits include health coverage, retirement plan

Qualifications

• Valid CDL – Class A is required.
• Ability to unload, transport, and position all building materials as required.
• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts.
• Ability to consistently lift and carry 250 lbs with assistance.
• Flatbed truck experience is preferred.
• Drywall boom truck experience is preferred.
• Semi tractor and trailer experience is preferred.
• Crane certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to/from the delivery site.
• Unload and stock building materials on jobsites.
• Oversee the safe loading of the delivery vehicle to ensure order accuracy.
• Obey all regulatory agency and company safety directives.
• Obey traffic laws and weight limits.
• Supervise and expedite the unloading operation at delivery sites to ensure safe and accurate delivery.
• Responsible for site safety as it pertains to the delivery.
• Accurately distribute and place all specified building materials as indicated on the order ticket.
• Safely operate a boom, crane or Gradall as needed, based on customer requirements.
• Keep delivered products neatly placed and presentable.
• May include warehouse work, loading/unloading onto trucks or into warehouse as assigned.

Specific duties may include:

• Operating a delivery vehicle to/from the delivery site
• Unloading and stocking building materials on jobsites as directed
• Physically handling material with a co-worker
• Overseeing the safe loading of the delivery vehicle to ensure the order is accurate and that the products are of the highest quality possible
• Obeying all regulatory agency and company safety directives
• Obeying all traffic laws and weight limits
• Supervising and expediting the unloading operation at delivery sites to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of all building materials
• Responsible for site safety as it pertains to the delivery
• Accurately distribute and place all specified building materials as indicated on the order ticket
• Safely and effectively operate a boom, crane or Gradall as needed, based on the specific requirements of the customer
• Responsible for having the delivered product neatly placed and appearing as orderly and presentable as possible
• Responsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned

This position does not require over the road travel
