Job summary

Central Garden & Pet seeks a 1st shift Fiesta Mixer at Kaytee in Chilton, WI to set up and run mixers, palletizers, and scales. Work four 10-hour days Monday-Thursday with a long weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds with frequent bending and twisting.
• Proficient math skills required for measuring and verifying mixtures.
• Forklift and RF scanner operation experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately mix ingredients according to formulas and deliver to correct packaging bins.
• Ensure accuracy of mixing and quality checks.
• Schedule and plan mixing operations to meet production schedules.
• Maintain communication with Line Leaders, Mill Operators, and Shift Supervisor.
• Record inventory transactions using RF scanner and paperwork.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Understand department goals and comply with safety rules.

Kaytee (Central Garden & Pet) is currently looking to fill 1stshiftFiesta Mixerat Kaytee in Chilton, WI Youwouldbe responsible for setting up and running machines,palletizers,and scales.This position works four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday; enjoy a long weekend every week!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately mix ingredients according to specific formulas anddeliveringthese mixes to the proper packaging bins.
• Ensure accurate mixing, both visually and through quality assurance checks.
• Schedule and plan mixing operation to meet production schedule.
• Maintain communication between Line Leaders, Mill Operators, and Shift Supervisor.
• Record all inventory transactions by accurately completing RF scanner functions and paperwork.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Understand and know the goals and objectives of the department.
• Comply with all safety rules and company policies.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 50+ pounds with frequent bending,liftingand twisting.
• Musthave proficientmath skills.
• Ability to operate forklift and handcart in a safe manner.
• Ability to work independently in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Ability to operatea RFscanner device.
• Must have the ability toliftupto 100 lbs. occasionally (with assistance).
• Must have the ability to bend, twist, turn and climb.
• Possess solid organizational skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Work temperatures can vary due to outside temperatures.
• Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours (on each respective shift) and average at least 40 hours a week.
• There may be some variation in work hours due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.
