Job description

Driver Hire is the UK’s largest specialist logistics recruiter, providing a wide range of drivers and non-driving staff to organisations throughout the UK.

With over 40 years of experience and a nationwide network of over 100 offices, we offer a full range of recruitment services – temporary and permanent positions, driving work and logistics jobs.

We need a class 2 driver for our clients in Southend and Basildon area.

HGV Driver/ Class 2 Driver
Basildon and Southend area (Including all SS Postcode)
£15.53 Minimum per hour (this rate includes holiday pay)
Temporary and ongoing work
Start times between 6am – 8am

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Completing deliveries (reasonable daily number of drops)
2. Loading and unloading your truck as required
3. Completing paperwork
4. Good timesheets administration
5. Completing a daily vehicle walk around check
6. Keeping the truck in good condition

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Previous experience of working as a HGV Driver / Class 2 Driver - desirable
2. Full UK Driving Licence, CPC and Tacho with no more than 6 penalty points
3. Team player who is also capable of working on your own
4. Excellent time-management
5. Good inter-personal and organisational skills
6. Possession of Hi Vis vest and Steel toe cap safety boots
