Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional Class 1 Highway Driver based out of Truro, NS. This role involves operating a tractor-trailer on a dedicated day run, with freight moves between Moncton and a designated terminal location before returning to Moncton.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean driving abstract and criminal record check.
• Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Experience with freight handling, handbombing and scanning is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer safely and professionally.
• Complete scheduled linehaul runs between Truro and designated terminal locations.
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain driver logs and required transportation documentation.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel and customers.
