Pratt Industries, Inc. in Beloit, Wisconsin is hiring a Clamp Truck Operator for the 3rd shift.

You will safely operate a clamp truck, unload rolls from trailers, and move paper to and from the corrugator, while keeping accurate records and assisting the corrugator operators. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour plus shift differential, with potential increases at 90 days and six months based on performance and attendance.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior industrial power truck or heavy equipment operating experience.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and care for the clamp truck.
• Unload rolls from trailers and move rolls of paper to and from stock and the corrugator.

OUR CLAMP TRUCK OPERATORS

are responsible for safely operating and caring for the clamp truck; efficiently and safely unloading rolls from trailers and moving rolls of paper to and from stock and the corrugator; maintaining accurate records; making starch; assisting corrugator operators.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the assistance of another worker.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Frequently exposed to wet, hot, and/or humid conditions.
