Job summary

Hoffmaster in Sparks, NV is seeking a Clamp Truck Operator to ensure raw materials are received, stored, and moved to production efficiently, keeping inventory accurate on the plant floor.

You will operate a clamp truck, use IQMS ERP to track materials, deliver to production centers, assist with cycle counts, and collaborate across shifts; a high school diploma and 1 year forklift experience required.

• Skill in oral and written communication; bilingual in Spanish preferred

• At least 1 year of experience in with forklift or clamp truck operation in a warehouse or manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

• Safely operate clamp truck in a busy manufacturing environment
• Accurately receive, label, and store all incoming raw materials
• Utilize the current ERP system (IQMS) to accurately track inventory by location
• Deliver raw materials to production work centers as needed in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure all material movements are recorded accurately in IQMS
• Provide support to the inventory team when needed by assisting with cycle counting
• Work closely with team members on alternate shifts and the Receiving Manager to provide coverage when needed by working OT
• Learn and develop a strong working knowledge of all plant operations

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Clamp Truck Operator is responsible for ensuring Hoffmaster’s raw materials are received, stored, and moved to production machines efficiently and accurately. This position is vital to the smooth operations of our production floor by moving materials as needed to machines, keeping our inventory accurate, and receiving, sorting, and labeling all raw materials.

Education, Experience, and Certification:

Physical Requirements:

Involves working in a manufacturing plant/warehouse floor which requires PPE (safety shoes, ear and eye protection).

SHIFTS:

C SHIFT (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Sunday) (7:00 am - 7:15 pm)
