Job summary

Sovereign Insurance Group is seeking a Claims Specialist in Berwyn, PA to manage the end-to-end claims lifecycle. You will coordinate with customers and carriers, ensuring timely submission, thorough investigation, and clear status updates.

The role requires a P&C license or ability to obtain one, along with strong MS Office and claims software skills (AMS360, ImageRight). A business degree and P&C experience are preferred, with hybrid/remote options in PA/NJ available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
• Background in claims investigation and commercial property & casualty insurance preferred.
• Valid resident Property & Casualty insurance license or ability to obtain one (agency may assist).

Responsibilities

• Review and process incoming claims promptly and accurately per regulations and policy.
• Request and track information needed for accurate claim submissions.
• Investigate and resolve complex claim issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all claims activity and communications.
• Communicate clearly with customers and carriers about status and next steps.
• Track large claims and keep insured informed from notification to closure.
• Notify SVP Operations of large claim concerns and issues.
• Provide excellent customer service addressing concerns and complaints.
• Analyze and investigate complex claims to help prevent fraud.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly loss run reports for stakeholders and Leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
