Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage and adjust Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto, and Property Damage claims through resolution.

You will partner with employees and carriers across multiple states to ensure accurate processing and timely decisions. The role requires detail orientation, multi-state claim handling, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and third parties.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience handling or adjusting Workers’ Compensation claims, including multi-state claims.
• 1–3 years’ experience with General Liability and Automobile claims, including processing, reporting, investigations, and reserves.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims and priorities.
• Comfortable communicating with employees, business leaders, insurance carriers, and third parties.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• 2+ years of college preferred.
• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto, Equipment, and Property Damage claims reporting through resolution.
• Partner with employees, business units, insurance carriers, and third-party providers throughout the claims process.
• Review claims documentation, medical bills, payroll records, payments and reserves for accuracy.
• Participate in carrier and internal claim reviews and help identify next steps on open claims.
• Monitor Workers’ Compensation claims, including medical treatment, investigations, rehabilitation and return-to-work efforts.
• Help employees understand Workers’ Compensation benefits and requirements across multiple states.
