Job summary

BCBST is seeking a dedicated Claims Processor to join the Senior Care Claims Department and support Medicare-eligible members by reviewing and processing healthcare claims with accuracy.

The role begins with an Oct 26, 2026 class date; training lasts about 12 weeks, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM ET, mostly virtual with some on-campus shadowing. After training, shifts start between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM ET and end by 6:00 PM ET.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Routing claim issues to next level or appropriate support areas; following up to ensure completion.
• Inputting, reviewing and validating the claims data received; evaluating their reliability and effectiveness in line with coverage and appraisal.
• Assisting in routine claim analysis and final determination; delivering administrative support throughout all claim handling processes.
• Performing basic investigator tasks; gathering and documenting relevant information as a preliminary investigation.
• Must be able to pass required testing.
• Work overtime as required.
