Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a commercial lines claims environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing litigated commercial liability claims and defense counsel.
• Strong technical knowledge of reserving practices, coverage analysis, litigation management, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to coach and develop claims professionals on both technical and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop a high-performing team across commercial lines including general liability, construction defect, E&O, and EPLI claims.
• Oversee litigated and pre-litigation claims; select and manage defense counsel; monitor budgets and billing.
• Provide reserving oversight; ensure reserves are accurate, timely, and defendable; partner with actuarial/finance.
• Ensure quality, compliance & efficiency in claim handling, litigation, and reserving practices.
• Build strong internal/external partnerships with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and agency partners; report performance and trends.
