Job summary

Jewelers Mutual Group offers a Claims Internship designed to provide challenging experiences related to Personal Lines claim tasks and professional development within a customer-facing team.

Interns will learn jewelry insurance concepts, assist claim examiners, and gain hands-on experience with claim documentation and payment expediting, in a collaborative culture that values accuracy and growth.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management & Insurance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed claim examiners with key claim handling tasks.
• Provide input on claim processes and controls.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policy language.
• Review claim documentation from jewelers, field adjusters, attorneys, etc.
• Investigate and provide input on potential fraudulent claims.
• Learn jewelry, diamond, and watch basics.
• Expedite claim payments with accuracy.
• Review and interpret claim reports, including trend analysis.
• May support SIU/fraud & quality initiatives within claims.
