Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to support a healthcare organization in Sacramento. This temporary assignment offers a $20-23/hour DOE rate and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include reviewing, adjudicating, and processing medical claims, applying ICD, CPT, and revenue codes, and ensuring regulatory and contract compliance. Requires 1+ year of claims adjudication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle high-volume workloads.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage a high volume of claims while meeting deadlines and productivity expectations

• Review, analyze, and adjudicate medical claims accurately and within required timeframes
• Determine payer responsibility based on coding, contracts, service areas, and guidelines
• Process claims, payment adjustments, and member reimbursement claims
• Review claims for financial, payment, and procedural accuracy
• Work with ICD, CPT, and Revenue Codes to support accurate claims processing
• Ensure claims are processed in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements
• Maintain established productivity, quality, accuracy, and audit standards
• Research and resolve claim discrepancies as needed
• Assist with additional claims-related projects and responsibilities

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to support a well-established healthcare organization in the Sacramento area. This is a great opportunity for someone with medical claims adjudication experience who is detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

• Employment Type: Temporary assignment through the end of 2026
• Pay Rate: $20-23/hr DOE
• Schedule: Monday through Friday

What You'll Do

• Review, analyze, and adjudicate medical claims accurately and within required timeframes.
• Determine appropriate payer responsibility based on coding, contracts, service areas, and established guidelines.
• Process claims, payment adjustments, and member reimbursement claims.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of healthcare claims adjudication experience, preferably within an HMO or managed care environment.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and Revenue Codes.
• Experience with Facets is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage a high volume of claims while meeting deadlines and productivity expectations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
