AMM is seeking a Supervisor Clerical in Long Beach, CA to lead a claims clerks team and oversee daily clerical operations in a modern, largely paperless environment. You will guide intake, imaging, data entry and appeals-support workflows, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and quality standards.

The role involves adopting AI-based tools for document processing and review, with a focus on accuracy and safeguarding PHI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Four to six years of healthcare claims processing experience, with 1–2 years in a lead/supervisory role.
• Proficiency with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM coding; a coding credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor claims clerks; act as SME on reprocessing and clerical procedures.
• Assign and balance daily workloads; monitor productivity and ensure end-of-day close-out tasks are completed.
• Coordinate with Claims Manager, production staff, clients, vendors, health plans to resolve claims issues.
