Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking a Subrogation Claims Specialist to join our North America Claims team in a hybrid environment, supporting recovery operations for complex subrogation cases. You will manage an inventory of claims, identify recovery opportunities, and pursue recovery from responsible parties and insurers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience, state licenses as needed, and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

The successful Candidate will manage an inventory of moderate to high‐complexity subrogation claims, ensuring timely identification of recovery opportunities, thorough investigation, accurate liability assessment, and effective pursuit of recovery from responsible parties and insurers. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**• Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines. • Reviews claim files to identify, evaluate, analyze, and interpret subrogation potential. • Is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. • Identifies legal liability and pursues, negotiates, and settles claims where subrogation is identified. • Coordinates appropriate steps to secure evidence and ensure pursuit, development, and recovery of claims. • Interacts with policyholders, claimants, and witnesses to recommend and document the necessary information to move forward with subrogation or close a file. • Assists claim handlers during the life of the claim file to request the necessary information needed to pursue subrogation. • Works closely with our TPA and MGA’s to ensure that all avenues of subrogation are identified and pursued. • May provide guidance and assistance to less experienced claims staff and TPA’s.**Skills, Knowledge and Abilities**• Advanced technical and product specific expertise, claims resolution skill and knowledge of insurance and claims principles, practices and procedures. • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills. We are a hybrid work environment, in office 3 days a week.*For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 to $100,000.00(GA).
