Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Personnel and CurriculumSupervisor (AA/S Exempt) assists the administrative staff of theCollege Office in the College of Liberal Arts by providingpersonnel, curriculum, fiscal and administrative support for theCLA administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Retention, Tenure and Promotion Process, assignedtime, Sabbatical leave process, Scholarly and Creative Activitiesranking (RSCA), and Evaluations.
  • Process personnel transaction forms and part-time contracts andhiring packets.
  • Collect, maintain, and update Loans and Borrows, Full-timeLecture, Tenure-track Status, Range Elevation, and Commitmentslogs.
  • Provide assistance to the Scholarly and Creative Activitiescommittee.
  • Tracks and monitors department budget and expenditures usingExcel spreadsheets and Paradox database.
  • Assists the Coordinators and Supervisors with various collegeprojects.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, andqualifications the candidate brings to the position, internalequity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: TheCSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,367 (Step#1) - $6,362 (Step #20) per month.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to carry out professionally complex assignments andindependently plan and develop sound approaches and solutions tomeet departments program, faculty, and student needs. Knowledge ofbudget and fiscal resources, allocations, and accountability.Provide professional representation for the department to allconstituencies. Develop and deliver essential information throughwritten and oral interactions. Establish and maintain collaborativeworking relationships with program faculty, academic departments,the dean's office, and a variety of offices and individuals on andoff campus. Working knowledge of Windows, Word, e-mail,spreadsheet, databases, webpages, and CMS.

Create and implement appropriate program/events that fosterstudent, faculty, campus, and local community relations. Ability tocommunicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campuscommunity. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures,and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility,information security, and non-discrimination policies andprocedures. Ability to contribute to a positive universityexperience for each and every student and assist in achieving theuniversity's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Physical Summary

Sedentarious work - Involves mainly sitting. Walkingand standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects(10 pounds or less).
