Job summary

Travis County Sheriff’s Office in Austin, TX seeks a full-time Business Analyst III to serve as Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC). You will lead access management, operator training, and audit preparation for CJIS systems including TLETS, TCIC, and NCIC, coordinating with OPSR, ITS, and DPS.

You will analyze workflows, document requirements, and ensure compliance with CJIS security requirements while partnering with multiple county and state agencies to maintain accurate records and secure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a directly related field and five (5) years of relevant work experience.
• OR, Any combination of education and experience that has been achieved and is equivalent to the stated education and experience and required knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this job.

Responsibilities

• Serve as TAC and principal agency contact for TLETS, TCIC, NCIC, and related operational compliance matters.
• Manage user access processes: approvals, account creation/changes, continued access needs, suspensions.
• Coordinate operator training, testing, certification, and recertification records; monitor deadlines and deficiencies.
• Review system use and records for compliance; document suspected misuse and refer via reporting channels.
• Prepare and maintain complete audit packets for TCIC/NCIC audits and related reviews.
