Job summary

Ontivity is seeking a Civil Technician in Dallas, TX to assist the Civil Foreman with tower foundations, fencing, grounding, and site maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and following detailed specifications as part of the crew building wireless infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will read drawings, operate basic construction equipment, and participate in ground work while traveling 50–90% of the time. Industrial safety training is preferred.

Qualifications

Summary

The Civil Technician works closely with Civil Foreman to assist in pouring foundations, install fencing, install grounding and maintain area surrounding towers.

Key Responsibilities

• Values safety over and above all other considerations
• Assist in grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads,

• cadwelding as required, etc.

• Assist on overall job including ground work, all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs,

• maintain safe work environment, daily use and completion of JSA forms, assisting with overall crew work,
• maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc.

• Must have working knowledge of drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing

• procedures, etc.

Physical Demands

• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and
• lift 50 lbs. including body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
• Must be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to several weeks at a time (50 - 90%)
• Must pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
• Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
• Ability to operate different types of equipment such as backhoe, forklift, electrical and hand tools
• Successful completion of industrial first aid and rescue training
• Must be able to work in a team environment on the crew and be a valued member of the team and the company.
• Communicate in person, by phone and radio with supervisor, foreman and co-workers
• Electrical Experience preferred

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements

Travel

Extensive travel is required for this position. Usually between 50 to 90% of the time.

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience working on a tower construction crew
• Demonstrated ability to work with construction crew to complete project
