Burns & McDonnell in Atlanta is seeking an Engineering Intern to support Transmission & Distribution projects. You will assist with standard engineering design tasks, data entry and presentation preparation, while gaining exposure to lead engineers and project work across markets.
Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering with ABET preference, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and active campus involvement; strong communication and analytical skills are required.
A Brief Overview
Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned. Transmission & Distribution
The Transmission & Distribution group is responsible for the planning and design of electrical transmission projects in power delivery, including overhead transmission, underground transmission, distribution systems, substation design, telecommunication & network engineering, pipelines, renewable power integration, security, grid modernization and more.
