Job summary

Audubon Companies is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer III to join our team. The role involves designing equipment, components, structures or systems and delivering engineering solutions for complex projects.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited engineering degree, a PE license, and at least four years of relevant field experience, with proficiency in steel/concrete design and related codes (AISC, ACI, API, IBC).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
PE license required.
Field experience preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience preferred.
STADD, SACS, MAT 3D, Foundation software experience preferred.
Working knowledge of the design of steel and concrete structures preferred.
Working knowledge of structural design codes (AISC, ACI, API, IBC) preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare basic to advanced level specifications for project assignments detailing client requirements, design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
Prepare engineering sketches, perform calculations and develop analysis models for moderately complex projects.
Prepare, review and/or approve vendor drawings for compliance with project specifications.
Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants.
Set realistic expectations and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Adhere to HSSE standards and regulations.
Visit jobsites to evaluate site requirements and conditions.
Prepare inquiry and purchase requisitions and bid tabulations for equipment purchases.
Perform checking of engineering drawings and calculations.
Manage workload, budgets and project resources; serve as Engineer in Responsible Charge as assigned.
