Job summary

GBA is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer at our Lenexa, KS headquarters to contribute to building design. The role involves performing structural calculations, directing preparation of construction documents, and managing the full structural design process within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/MS in structural-focused Civil or Architectural Engineering, an EIT, 2–5 years of experience, and strong Revit skills (AutoCAD a plus).

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Architectural or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural design.
• EIT certification.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Revit (required).
• Experience with AutoCAD (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations for building projects.
• Prepare and/or direct others in preparing structural construction documents.
• Manage all aspects of the structural design process.
• Coordinate with architects and MEP engineers.
• Review construction shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries.
• Opportunity for cross-training in structural bridge design, if desired.
