Job description

This role will require about 50% travel.

Job Description

• This position is ideal for an individual who has a big picture concept of business development side of business.
• Mechanical Engineer (must have PE license) that is a problem solver to perform investigations into accidents and product failures.
• Solve forensic needs such as fire and explosion cause and origin, products, material testing and diversified experts
• An individual with a background in safety or risk management is also a plus.
• The ideal candidate must also be willing to travel on a day or overnight basis to investigate accidents, failure analysis, fire investigations, biomedical engineer, and human injury/impact dynamics.
• Responsible for operating budget of his branch; responsible for assuring that all technical matters are correctly handled and will coordinate engineering assignments with external consultants and also enjoys working outdoors.

All candidates must have the following experiences to qualify for consideration

• Candidates need to have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 10 to 15 years experience
• Professional Engineering License (or can have one within 30 days of hiring)
• Multi-dimensional Senior Mechanical Engineer
• Experience in forensic engineering on structures such as roofs, foundations, floor systems, retaining walls, underground water retention systems due to fire damage, vehicle accident reconstructions, marine losses, worker injuries, etc.
• Existing clientele and contacts with insurance companies and/or law firms is a HUGE PLUS
