Job summary

Loadmaster Industries, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Broussard, Louisiana team. You will design and upgrade steel structures for upstream oil and gas projects, applying AISC, API 4F, API RP 2A, DNV, and ABS codes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 1–5 years of steel design experience, strong English communication, and collaboration across engineering, estimating, and fabrication. This full-time position offers competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing structural steel design and design control operations following codes such as AISC, API 4F, API RP 2A, DNV, ABS
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design or upgrade different types of light or heavy steel structures for the upstream petroleum market
• Perform bolted and welded steel connection design per AISC
• Preparing technical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English to interpret technical information, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with team members and customers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 1 - 5 years of steel design experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of drilling operations and drilling structures
• Knowledge in at least one of the following software
• Bentley SACS - Offshore Structures
• Bentley STAAD – Structural Analysis & Design
• SAFI - Structural Engineering Modules GSE or PSE
• SAP 2000 – Structural Analysis & Design
• ANSYS – Engineering FEA Simulation Software
