Job summary

The McGraley Co. is seeking a Civil Sitework Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial, industrial, municipal, and private site development projects in Georgia and the Southeast.

You will work with project managers, operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop winning bids while maintaining profitability and meeting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, demolition, underground utilities, storm drainage, water & sewer, site improvements.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations (labor, equipment, materials, subs, profit).
• Visit project sites for pre-bid investigations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings when required.
• Identify project risks and opportunities.
• Prepare bid proposals and bid packages.
• Work with project managers during project turnover.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Assist with value engineering and alternative construction methods.
• Track awarded and lost bids for continuous improvement.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Sitework Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience estimating heavy civil and commercial site development projects and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
