Job summary

AllSearch Staffing Group is actively seeking a Civil Project Manager for a Detroit, MI-based construction firm. The role covers civil site development, earthwork, utilities, concrete, and roadway work, with emphasis on estimating, planning, and effective project management.

You will lead bid preparation, cost control, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, and client liaison from kickoff through closeout, with a base salary up to $120,000 per year and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in civil construction estimating and/or project management
• Experience with DOT, municipal, or large-scale site development projects
• Experience with civil construction involving earthwork, utilities, concrete, site development, and/or roadway work
• Experience with construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, project budgets, cost tracking, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for civil construction projects (earthwork, utilities, concrete, site work, roadways)
• Interpret plans and geotechnical reports for quantity takeoffs
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Develop bid proposals, schedules, and value-engineering options
• Lead pre-bid meetings, site visits, and safety planning
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress documentation
• Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, and profitability
• Coordinate with field supervisors, clients, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Oversee project closeout and final billing
