Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Water Resources team in our Raleigh office. We are looking to add a Water Resources Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a Water Resources Project Engineer, you will primarily assist project managers in design and construction phase activities on water resources and agricultural drainage projects, with a focus on stormwater modeling and design. You will help our team achieve our goal of providing technical planning and engineering services to create safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities.

We seek candidates who are highly self-motivated and can apply their engineering and water resources knowledge across various projects. The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from different agencies is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed design computations
• Conduct preliminary layout, modeling, and design tasks
• Research and prepare drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies
• Assist in project design, preparing plans and specifications, and estimating costs and quantities
• Review plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, design stormwater facilities, detention and retention systems, water quality, and stormwater management planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited university
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• 5-10 years of progressive civil engineering experience, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
• Experience in plan and specification development and construction contract administration
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8, and GIS
