Job summary

Russo Development / Russo Property Management seeks a Civil Project Engineer to support site planning, grading, drainage and permitting for large-scale developments in northern New Jersey. The role collaborates with consultants, municipalities, and internal teams to ensure development-ready designs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an accredited school.
• N.J. Engineering license strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience with design and construction coordination for large multi-family and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Review engineered drawings and specifications for site plan applications (drainage, grading, utilities, landscaping, lighting).
• Coordinate with consultants for site design and permitting across disciplines.
• Track project status, submission dates, and permit/approval status.
• Collaborate with in-house Architecture and third-party consultants for building design and permitting.
• Prepare permit applications and interact with government agencies.
• Assess development opportunities including wetlands, soils, and zoning investigations.
• Coordinate with construction personnel to resolve site development issues and review drawings.
