Langan seeks a Civil Project Engineer/Manager with a Renewable Energy focus to join its national practice in Milwaukee. You will lead feasibility, design, permitting, and client management for diverse renewable energy projects across stages from concept to completion.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, and 6+ years in renewable site/civil work with strong communication and leadership skills. Masters and regulatory expertise are preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional credential.
• PE license and 6+ years of renewable energy site/civil land development experience.
• Strong client development and communication abilities; regulatory liaison experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and permitting of renewable energy land development projects.
• Design site layout, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control through completion.
• Develop new clients and manage existing relationships.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules.
• Prepare reports, feasibility studies, and utility reports.
• Provide hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and SWPPP expertise.

Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Civil Project Engineer / Manager with a specialization in Renewable Energy to join its national practice. This individual will serve a key function in feasibility assessments, design, permitting and client management efforts for a variety of renewable energy projects. As a member of our rapidly expanding Renewable Energy practice, you will be part of the driving force behind Langan's continuing growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and permitting of renewable energy land development and infrastructure projects
• Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion
• Develop new clients for the firm and maintain relationships with existing clients
• Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitors budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Minimizes write-offs by keeping projects on budget
• Report and proposal writing. Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports
• Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance
• Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Masters Preferred
• Valid Professional Engineer license
• 6+ years of related renewable site/civil land development experience
• Knowledge of city, county and state land use processes and regulations
• Strong client development, client communication, client management abilities, and ability to develop new work
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage renewable energy land development and infrastructure projects; including the ability to design site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion
• Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others
• Ability to work well on multi-disciplinary projects
• Expertise in stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparation
• Experienced in technical and proposal writing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred)
• Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
• Participation in professional organizations
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
• and Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing

Pay Range $96,750 - $140,000 USD
