Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer III - Water & Wastewater candidate to join our Water & Wastewater Group located in our Richmond, VA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include, but are not limited to:

  1. Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology.
  2. Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills, and utilize computers to solve problems.
  3. Prepare specifications and materials through research and equipment catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection, and payment items specific to a project.
  4. Work to complete design details and plan sets.
  5. Perform research and write objective summary reports used in project work or inspections.
  6. Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
  7. Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
  8. Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include, but are not limited to:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Ideally, 5-8 years of experience related to water resources engineering.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of CADD software (Civil 3D preferred).
  • Dependability, responsibility, and good written/verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
