Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Civil Project Engineer in Federal Way, WA to lead design and deliver a range of land development projects. You will coordinate with clients, project managers, and business development to position the firm for future work, and mentor engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires WA PE or ability to obtain within 90 days, 3–5 years in relevant design, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Registered PE in WA or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 3–5 years of design experience in transportation, gas pipeline, roadway, energy, or utilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience mentoring engineers and design technicians.
• Experience managing engineering projects from conception to completion including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, construction support, and project delivery in land development, infrastructure, and energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and manage the technical delivery of a variety of land development projects.
• Communicate with clients regarding current projects and collaborate with project managers and the business development team to position the firm for future work.
• Direct and support technical staff to deliver projects effectively.
• Assist project managers in preparing and managing project scope, budget, and schedule, and prepare deliverables.
• Assist with business development efforts to cultivate strong client relationships.

Salaries are based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.US Pay Range$105,000—$125,000 USDFull-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company’s 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options.
