POSITION SUMMARY

HR Consulting Solutions, a leading international executive search firm, has been retained by a fast-growing, highly respected engineering company in the Carolinas to recruit a Civil ProjectEngineer. Our client is a recognized leader incivil and environmental engineering, known for its strong industry reputation and commitment to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with 4+ years of civil engineering experience to contribute to impactful projects across the Southeast.

WORK LOCATION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and contribute to site design for commercial, residential, and industrial developments, including industrial park design, storm drainage systems, water/wastewater systems, and roadway design.
• Coordinate permitting processes with various regulatory agencies.
• Develop and present engineering reports, site plans, and design documents to clients and regulatory agencies.
• Manage project phases, including bidding, contract award, and construction administration.
• Oversee construction observation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address technical challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Utilize innovative engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with a civil consulting firm.
• Experience working directly with clients and presenting technical findings.
• Strong knowledge of design, permitting, and construction processes.
• Deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to civil and environmental engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Civil 3D and Land Development software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively with clients and project teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision.
