About the Role

CCA, LLC a division of Haley Ward is looking for a Project Engineer to plan, organize, and control the activities of projects to achieve successful completion while operating within guidelines established by the Project Manager, within established schedules, budgets, and QA/QC policy constraints. Typical projects will entail municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure, dams, site planning, and stormwater management. The role involves working in a team environment on a broad range of engineering projects from planning through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to assess needs and establish realistic project goals.
• Work with and/or support a team of professionals performing calculations and developing site plans.
• Manage projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Develop proposals outlining service fees.
• Research economic alternatives for project components.
• Present applications and provide testimony to land‑use boards and commissions.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and reports for civil projects.
• Liaise with professionals, attorneys, developers, contractors, and public agencies.
• Support firm principals in business development efforts.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Experience in site design for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including:
  • Zoning and planning requirements
  • Site grading and erosion control design
  • Roadway and street design
  • Stormwater, drainage and hydraulic calculations and design
  • Septic and utility systems
  • Construction document preparation
  • Retaining wall design (a plus)
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Multi‑discipline project management skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2023 or higher) required.
• Sound mathematical skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (occasional local travel for site visits and client meetings).
