Job summary

Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Phoenix seeks a Civil Paralegal for the Behavioral Health Practice to provide trial support and seamless legal operations. Qualifications

  • Associate or certificate in paralegal studies, or a related field with legal support experience.
  • Two years of legal support or related experience in civil practice are preferred.
  • Ability to apply Arizona and Federal Civil Procedure rules to case work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with court proceedings and trial preparation, including witness summaries and exhibits.
  • Compile annotations, indexes, and provisions of statutes and cases for discovery and court use.
  • Review, organize, and Bates-stamp documents for disclosure and trial use.
  • Conduct investigations, witness interviews, and summarize information for attorneys.
  • Attend continuing legal education seminars and in-house training.
