Job summary

SCS Engineers seeks a Project Engineer in Bedford, Texas, to contribute to civil, environmental, and solid waste projects. The role requires AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, engineering design capability, and field inspection experience. Office-based position, five days per week, with growth opportunities within a 100% employee-owned firm.

Responsibilities include calculations, design drafting, report preparation, and client coordination. Minimum 4 years' civil engineering/design experience; E.I.T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field is required.
• E.I.T. required, P.E. preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge to designs and calculations for civil and environmental projects.
• Develop designs using 2D drafting and Civil 3D; prepare drawings and permit applications.
• Conduct calculations, reports, and inspections; assist with construction phase services.

Job description

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Engineer in Bedford, Texas (located in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex) to work on various civil, environmental, and solid waste-related projects. You should be a quick learner, motivated, team-player, and have the desire to grow professionally. Projects focus on land development, environmental compliance, and solid waste management, including landfills, landfill gas collection systems, transfer stations, composting and recycling facility infrastructure, and other similar type projects, which require AutoCAD skills, design, engineering, permitting, and construction inspections. This position will be based in the office 5 days/week.

How you can make an impact

• Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles and practices
• Complete designs using 2D and Civil 3D AutoCAD drafting, mathematical calculations, etc
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications
• Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plans and coordinates work, and represents us at meetings and conferences.
• Construction-phase engineering services, including engineer certification and field inspection, performed in various types of terrain and weather, will be required
• Business development including: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows
• Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory/senior review on proposed plans, reports and or other project deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering major required
• Minimum of 4 years of civil engineering and/or solid waste design experience required.
• E.I.T. required, P.E. preferred
• Experience with using AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required

Pay Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
