The Expert Institute is seeking a Legal Analyst to join our Content team. The analyst will curate expert litigation activity for attorney-clients in a profile format and perform legal research across civil case data. Proficiency with major databases and strong attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities include reviewing dockets, summarizing facts, and coordinating with management to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional legal experience in a law firm, department, or industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience understanding litigation activity from docket reports.
• Proficiency with WestLaw, Bloomberg Law or LexisNexis.

Responsibilities

• Review online civil case dockets and documents to extract data points on Expert Witness activity.
• Perform legal research using free and fee-based databases to summarize facts from records and pleadings.
• Utilize knowledge of the legal process and major databases like WestLaw/Bloomberg/LexisNexis.
• Retrieve documents including dockets, motions, affidavits, orders, subpoenas, and depositions.
• Set up current awareness and docket alerts; meet project deadlines with management.
