Job summary

Ratchford Law Group PC is seeking an associate attorney licensed in Massachusetts with eligibility or admission in New Hampshire and Vermont. The role involves attending court appearances, managing a caseload, and collaborating with paralegals. Remote work is possible, with some MA office presence potentially required.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of litigation experience, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to work as part of a team while handling duties independently.

Qualifications

• Self-directed with strong caseload management and prioritization.

Ratchford Law Group PC, a multi-state creditor’s rights law firm. Our firm is headquartered in Pennsylvania and maintains a satellite office in Massachusetts. We are seeking an associate attorney who is licensed in Massachusetts and eligible for admission or admitted in New Hampshire and Vermont. The attorney will attend regular court appearances, virtually and in-person. This role can be remote, but some level of physical presence may be required in the MA office.

Position Summary:

• Develop and implement litigation strategy and draft motions and discovery.
• Independently manage a caseload of cases.
• Collaborate closely with firm's paralegals.
• Work directly with firm clients to resolve matters.
• Attend court appearances, virtually and in-person, and conduct trials independently.
• Comply with all client and firm operational procedures

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Massachusetts as well as eligible for admission in New Hampshire and Vermont.
• 1 year litigation experience, including court appearance with in-person or remotely.
• Self-directed with attention to detail and ability to manage caseload and prioritize appropriately.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Excellent Oral and Written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of civil procedure
• Admitted in New Hampshire

Physical Qualifications:

• Be able to travel when needed by the most efficient means of transportation
