Orion Placement in San Diego, CA, is seeking an attorney to take ownership of substantive civil litigation matters, working with experienced trial attorneys. This is a fully on-site role that provides hands-on experience across discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, case strategy, and trial preparation with direct client interaction.

Candidates must be actively licensed with the California Bar and have 2+ years of directly relevant civil litigation experience.

Formación

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other filings.
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

Responsabilidades

• Manage civil litigation matters through all stages of the case lifecycle.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in witness preparation.
• Perform legal research and develop case strategies with senior attorneys.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, conferences, and other proceedings.
• Review and analyze evidence, discovery materials, and case documents.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and strategy.
• Collaborate with experts, opposing counsel, paralegals, and other litigation professionals.
• Assist with mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Maintain deadlines and move matters toward resolution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules
• Strong organizational and case-management skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
