Pape-Dawson Engineers seeks a civil engineer to contribute to planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater projects under the guidance of a licensed PE. The role involves analysis, documentation, and collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, efficient project outcomes.

The candidate will prepare calculations, drawings, and cost estimates while mentoring junior staff and supporting permitting efforts. Office-based with field coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required; EIT certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and applicable codes/regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication for multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Perform engineering planning, design, and analysis tasks per codes, standards, and regulations; produce work requiring minimal revision.
• Prepare calculations, technical deliverables, memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates with clear assumptions.
• Evaluate design alternatives, apply engineering judgment, and recommend solutions to meet project objectives.
• Coordinate with project managers, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers to support team development.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage assigned tasks independently, meet deadlines, and take accountability for project portions.
• Support water distribution and wastewater system design, layouts, and supporting calculations.
• Prepare permitting support materials and technical documentation for public infrastructure projects.

Job Description:OverviewThis position supports the planning, design, analysis, and delivery of engineering projects under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) and may provide technical guidance to junior staff.
